How to use TimeBoard
Multi-user timers, typed hours, and per-person billing rollups for monday.com. No setup needed: install, add the view, click Start.
Track time on an item
1
Open any item and click + at the top of the item card → Apps → TimeBoard.
2
Click ▶ Start. Your timer runs on the server, so it keeps counting if you close the tab. Click ■ Stop when you're done.
3
Forgot to start it? Type a duration like 1h 30m, 90m or 1:30, pick the day, add a note, click Add.
4
Teammates can run their own timers on the same item at the same time. Each person's time is attributed separately and never overwritten.
See hours by person
1
On the board, click + Add view → Apps → TimeBoard hours.
2
Pick a range (this week, last month, custom), group by person, item, or day, and toggle billable.
3
Click Export CSV for a file that opens cleanly in Excel or Google Sheets, with raw seconds and rounded hours side by side.
Hours stay in monday
Every entry posts an update on the item ("⏱ Jane logged 1h 30m"). Admins can also turn on an Hours (TimeBoard) numbers column so native dashboards and formulas keep working.
Admin settings
Open the Apps icon → Installed apps → TimeBoard → Settings. Choose who may edit teammates' time, the account timezone, and rounding (for example 15 minutes, nearest). Rounding is applied in reports; raw time is always kept.
Who can do what
- Members and guests log their own time and see the item's log.
- Viewers can see hours but not log time (monday viewers can't write data).
- Admins change settings and can edit anyone's entries. Every edit is logged.
